The upper segment of the shoe has a tongue-less design with a mono-sock construction to lock down the foot and heel as well as to decrease seams or pressure points for enhanced comfort. Asics adds further comfort by providing additional breathability due to the inclusion of open mesh in the lacing area.
In the midsole, comfort and feel is provided by FlyteFoam and Gel cushioning in the heel and midfoot which are proven Asics technologies that help reduce the impact of shock experienced from abrupt stop and go movements on court. Additionally, the two-piece Twistruss technology enables sharp directional change for increased acceleration on the court. This helps you quickly recover and get back to your ready position.
This upgraded shoe boasts an industry-first three-piece outsole to provide more flexibility and comfort than ever before. By splitting the outsole into three sections this technology increases court contact and the independent movement of each section allows for greater overall flexibility and increased shock absorption. The result: more comfortable stop and start motions and faster recovery after shots. The full-length outsole incorporates the AHAR Plus compound in the outsole that works in conjunction with the PGUARD toe protector to increase traction on court and reduce the overall level of wear in key areas.
